     A total of 17,65,898 students had applied for the MSBSHSE's SSC exam.
    Maharashtra board's HSC results were declared on 16th July 2020. It is expected that the Maharashtra Board SSC results will be out in a few days in this week. Due to the nation-wide lockdown amid COVID 19, the Geography paper of SSC students was cancelled. Which was scheduled to be held on 23rd March, 2020. 
     Every year Maharashtra board's SSC results are declared just one week after the announcement of Maharashtra board's HSC results. This year also it is expected that the SSC results will be declared in this week, one week later the announcement of HSC results. 
        
     Rumours were also there that, average marks will be given for the geography paper to each student. Few days ago Varsha Gaikwad in an interview said that the modes of assessment of the exams will be on 'BEST OF FIVE' rule. This means marks will be allotted on the basis of top 5 paper marks. Due to this it is expected that the passing percentage of SSC will increase this year. Last year's passing percentage of SSC was 77.10 %.
      Students are required to score aggregate marks of minimum 35% and at least 20 marks in each subject to pass the SSC exam.
