UPDATES ON IIT JEE (ADVANCED) EXAM, 2020.
HRD MINISTER- Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank , on his twitter handle tweeted about the percentage criteria. In his tweet, he addressed the students who are aiming to join the IIT COLLEGES, that the required criteria of achieving minimum 75% in their 12th standard boards results has been scrapped off for the IIT JEE (ADVANCED) EXAM for this year (2020).
This bold and important decision for scrapping off the minimum required marks of 75% has been taken by - JOINT ADMISSION BOARD (JAB). The JAB took this decision remembering the cancellation of many board paper this year by their respective boards due the COVID 19 crisis. According to this decision students are not required to score minimum 75% in their 12th standard boards examinations. This allows candidates to appear for the IIT JEE (ADVANCED) exam irrespective of the marks they score in 12th standard if they pass the 12th standard boards examinations.
